The X Flight adventure was completed today with ceremonial flights
from Dorothy Scott International Airport in Oroville (where Robin landed on
Thursday) into Canada and then back to the airport. They had originally planned
to take off from Mansfield east of Chelan Butte, but the cirrus clouds from the
last two days were still happening... mehr

A 40 km task north up to Brewster given the heavy cirrus cover:


Donizete Lemos hung on while others landed and then relaunched. He was therefore
able to get way out in front and get to goal 28 minutes before the next pilot.

Their goal is Oroville on the Washington/Canada border up the
Okanogan Valley. They will be following the paraglider pilots at the Chelan Open
whose goal today is at Omak a bit south of Oroville.

With a twelve hour drive required to get from Kadoka, South Dakota
to Arco, Idaho, only Robin was willing to go all the way to fly from King
Mountain. No one flew on Monday as the gusts were too strong. Only Robin flew on
Tuesday.
