The task committee called a 90 kilometer task, 20 kilometers longer than the
first task. But the winds were forecasted to be stronger than the light to no
winds from Sunday. The winds turned out to be northwest at 7 to 9 mph. The task
set us way to the east so we had a long slog coming back to the Francisco
Grande.

The Swifts are so wide that they feel restricted in their possible landing
areas.
The competition begins on Sunday. Plenty of pilots were flying on Saturday, the
practice day.
The temperature got to 107 today, should be a little cooler on Sunday. Light

A few years ago Category 1 competitions were worth more than
Category 2 competitions when counted in available WPRS points. This is no longer
the case as a matter of preliminary valuation. All competitions are treated the

Plenary and that is the plan for the bids you have submitted. Any such decision

The hang glider pilot is Andrea Iemma and the filming was completed yesterday at
our tow site in Central Otago, New Zealand. John Smith also works with us here
as a tow pilot. We’ve had a week of blue sky days and its starting to warm up
