The Cloudbase Foundation

Monroe has a single school in town that teaches Pre-K through 8th
grade. One day, Roys wife, a Special Education / Teacher Aid at Monroe School,
brought home a submission to a magazine contest entered by a teacher to try to
win some funds for the school. At the time, two rooms at the school were in need
of desks and chairs. Roy submitted a proposal to the Cloudbase Foundation to
raise funds for the school. Since completion of the project, $1,718 have been
donated to the school, including a large fraction raised by Roy himself. Over the duration of the project, other funding for classroom furniture had been
secured by the school. Today however, the sound system at Monroe School has just
about quit working. Since new sound systems are quite costly, school funds have
always been used elsewhere. The staff at Monroe School has decided to use the
funds for the students and use the donations raised towards a new sound system.
This will help fill a need not just for Monroe School and its students, but also
for the entire Monroe community. The sound system will be utilized for student
theatrical plays, Christmas programs, Veterans Day programs, graduations,
alumni banquets, and school-wide assemblies.
