Finally some cues (despite the forecast)
Easter weekend and half the pilots from the east coast and many
from Toronto are here filling up Quest Air and all the locals have come out
for tandems. They are running the crew ragged with Johnny Thompson off some
where, and Donnie taking the weekend off.
The sky filled up early and I was off at 1 PM after Oleg. The wind was out of
the southwest at 14 mph, so it wasn't a day to go long. I landed after a while
with plenty of lift around and no problem staying up. Later Mitch (who was
playing hooky, but came back) did the task, upwind to 33 and Dean Still, Wallaby
Ranch and back. He saw Mike Barber in the air heading back to Wallaby on their
milk run.
The glider sits ready for action at a moment's notice.
