Trip Flip

In Early January, we were contacted by the Producers of the Travel
Channel's "Trip Flip", and on the 13th of that month we were pleased to host
them for a segment to be featured in their upcoming show about the Florida Keys.
If you are not familiar with "Trip Flip", host Bert Kreisher selects a couple
at random off the streets to take a trip with him to a location disclosed only
after they agreed to go along. (If you see Bert on the streets giving away a
trip, say YES.) The lucky recipients are then whisked away to the destination all
expenses paid, where they are treated to the 5 star best of everything for 3
days.
The cast of 3, including Bert and travelers Tom & Crystal Nix, of Denver, CO,
along with a production crew of 8, descended upon Paradise Hang Gliding for an
afternoon of fun in the sun, Islamorada style. The morning had been quite windy
for their segment on offshore sportfishing, and the entire cast & crew arrived
somewhat green behind the gills for our shoot.
Thankfully, the wind had laid down quite a bit, and they were all relieved to
hear that we would be doing our flights on the much smoother bay side. We
covered the glider with GoPro cameras, had our chase boat ready (courtesy of
Capt. Dennis FantaSea Charters), and headed for the bay.
We flew both Tom & Crystal, with multiple cameras rolling, and it was all a
great success. To check out our own photos of the day, courtesy of our friends
Bill & Shawan Yarnton, have a look at our Facebook page at

To see the full results, watch "Trip Flip" on the Travel Channel this coming
Sunday, April 7, at 8pm EST, 6pm MST. Check you local listings for exact times.
