The day was looking as was predicted by XC Skies to be an amazing
day with South winds and excellent lift conditions up the state. After the
previous day’s flight we were a bit tired (especially David after yet again
flying 120+ kilometers) but based on the appearance of the sky and Derreck’s
advice to leave early, we all get together and ready to launch with David, Marco
and Myself setting a tacit task to Avon Park. I joked that if we got there we
could keep going north to Wallaby, and little did I know at the time it would
come to pass that very same day.
