Calling All Sport Class Pilots

Did you know?
Sport Class is quickly becoming more popular world-wide?
Many U.S. and International Comps now include a Sport Class?
As of June 1st, 2013, only 3 of the top 50 Sport Class pilots listed in the
CIVL World Ranking are from the USA? (
http://civlrankings.fai.org/?a=326&ladder_id=9 )
The 2014 Worlds in Annecy, France will hold the first World Sport Class
competition? (Pre-Worlds are this July
http://dca.ffvl.fr/hg2014/index.php/en/informationpageuk/classesportuk )
The USHPA Competition Committee will meet during the USHPA board meeting in
Seattle this October, and their topics of discussion will include Sport Class,
and the Sport Class Worlds? Do you think?
Sport Class pilots could benefit from more communication and collaboration
with each other?
Sport Class pilots could benefit from more representation in the planning of
comps?
Sport Class pilots could benefit from more visibility to the USHPA?
What can you do?
If you are interested in more communications and collaborations amongst
ourselves, please email <cliff.k.rice>
to express your interest, and to make suggestions how to best do this. Please
contact your local USHPA Regional Director and/or a member of the Competition
Committee with your ideas and suggestions. The list of USHPA BoD and Committees
is at
https://www.ushpa.aero/member_ushpa_directors.asp. If you dont know anybody
on that page, one Competition Committee member with whom I have discussed this
and who is interested in our input (and whom probably most of you have met
personally) is Jamie Shelden ( <naughtylawyer> ).
