This fun site sites hang gliding as the most dangerous hobby. Previously the
number was 1 in 560 pilots will die each year. A few commenters complained about
this. So did I.

Having watched whatever goes for the statistics on the death rate in hang
gliding for the last twenty years I can only say that your number appears to be
made up out of thin air. The actual rate would be between 1 in 10,000/year and 1
in 1,000/year.
