The day before the meet started, Bill Soderquist encountered gusty
conditions when he landed near the meet headquarters in the Moore Idaho park,
and broke his wrist.

During the Monday task, Rick Fitzpatrick found himself in some unexpected rotor
as he approached a landing and got tossed to the ground, dislocating his
shoulder and banging his knee.

So, the contest has just started and we have two pilots on the bench.
