Georgetown World Record Encampment
While we had a little bit of the early morning cloud streets and
we have thin streets now (1 PM) under a layer of cirrus the surface winds were
out of the south southwest again (unlike down in Zapata), so it would have been
to dangerous to launch. Conditions did not look good for a long distance flight
in any case. Monday was the best looking day and perhaps it would have been
worth chancing it, but I didn't want to put Chris in a difficult towing
position. It is unclear when the south southeast will kick in again here and the winds
straighten out instead of wrapping around to the northeast to our north.
