Aeros testing

http://ozreport.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=33249&start=54

We fully agree with you, without plunging deep into the subject
and just being based on the general technical knowledge. This is the very reason
why we have not made the test procedures public but have only sent them to
authorised Aeros dealers.

In this certain case we are lucky to know for sure the defect and its causes,
and know the way of detecting it. This knowledge is based on lots of crossbeam
tests made by Aeros. And we can responsibly state that we know how not to
destroy or damage a good crossbeam and definitely detect a bad one. No special
tools or skills are required for this, and we are confident that our dealers can
duly perform the crossbeam check.

A dealer is entitled to pass the test instructions to a pilot if for any reason
the pilot cannot come for having the crossbeam checked by the dealer, and only
if the dealer is sure of the pilot's ability to perform this check.

If you are interested in the technical side of the issue and would like to see
the instructions, drop us an e-mail at <aerosint>. But we
cannot make them publicly available and will request the same from you.

Actually, the main difficulty we see in the crossbeam check is to have the
glider re-assembled correctly. No washers and sprog adjustments lost, you know.

As to the legal side of the matter you are referring to, well, Aeros is not the
crossbeam manufacturer. We are ordering them at Aerola company. So, would you
suggest to have every crossbeam sent back to Aerola for testing?
