Under entirely amicable circumstances, and after a few weeks of
negotiation, Simon Murphy, Carl Wallbank and Moyes Delta Gliders have agreed to
transfer the UK Moyes distributorship from Simon to Carl. Simon, who has been
sole Moyes distributor in the UK for 20 years, will retain his role as a Moyes
dealer and continues to stock a vast selection of Moyes spares – including parts
for older models.

“I have plans to take The Flying Circus in a slightly different direction, but
will be continuing with my other existing distributorships, which include Charly,
Finsterwalder, Firebird, Renschler, Zoot, Gliderider, Von Blon and Fly Mike."
Simon commented, adding, "I’ve had a fantastic relationship with Moyes, and I’ll
always be a Moyes Boy, but the time is right to hand over to somebody younger,
with fresh ideas. Carl is the right choice.”

Carl, who after 22 years flying with 14 years flying solely Moyes gliders says,
"It’s time for me to give a little back to this sport which has truly taken over
my life. I’ve chosen to fly Moyes because of the package you buy into. It’s not
just the glider, it’s a family affair: the backup, the availability of spares,
the service and assistance offered to all travelling competitors by the Moyes
worldwide team, all set them apart."

"For most free flyers like me, this sport takes over. It becomes a way of life,
and I want all new and future UK Moyes pilots to experience this standard too.
So to take on the UK Moyes dealership was obviously the right choice for me. The

tackle by implementing some innovations designed to reduce costs and align more

Well, quite a change from quality control on the Blow Out
Preventer on rigs in the North Sea. That job brought in the big bucks and plenty
of time off. Now Carl is in a business that promises little money and lots of
time off. Hopefully he can afford it.
