The Flytec Americus Comp Camp
Jamie took this shot of the governor's quick flight into Jim Carter Regional
Airport. The landing did not disrupt our operation as everyone had launched by
then. They undercalled the same task as yesterday with vastly superior conditions, as
you can see from the photo above. Four of my five students made the task.
Stephane was the only one to land out. Hit the repeater on Lookout Mountain using 144.750. That input frequency was not
on the list:

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php?title=Walker_County_%28GA%29&diff=98696&oldid=98695 The person (Jonny Durand) who chose this frequency for the team that I rotated
to today should have paid attention to the band plan here:
http://www.arrl.org/band-plan. Most everyone made the task. My team launched first and we all got up close
together and except for Stephane (who was just above us) headed to the first
turnpoint at Hodges Hobbies together (well, Terry Reynolds held back). Stephane
didn't have us to help him get up and landed at Hodges.
