During the first task of the Portuguese National Championships -
Open "Serra da Gardunha 2014", an Israeli Pilot, from the National Israeli team
had an accident on final, at the landing field, hitting a tree and crashing 30
feet below. Although the medical teams assisting tried to revive him, they were
unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead an hour later.

He was an experienced pilot, flying since 1995, and competing in the Israeli
league in the last 10~12 years, with no major accidents on record and a very
cool guy. The meet direction and the event organizers, in agreement with all
pilots, decided to cancel the event. We will celebrate him by continuing to fly,
cherishing the memories and remembering our departed brother fondly.
