The 2014 Worlds - day one results
http://dca.ffvl.fr/hg2014/index.php/en/page-results-2014
Twenty seven pilots make goal in the ATOS class. Grabowski wins. No Americans in
this class. Manfred wins in the Swift/Archaeopteryx class in a Swift. Brian Porter, reported
as an Australian, makes goal. A Japanese women was the closest to goal in the women's category. The results
are not printed correctly so I can't say how well compared to others she did or
how much the day was worth (a little over 500 points). French National team pilots, who apparently need the points to keep their
government funding, finished first and second in sport class. A 370 point day. The mostly male sport class and the women flew the same route. The start gate
for the women was 15 minutes before the sport class start gate. At least one and
I thought two French National team pilots made goal on king posted gliders. The
women didn't make goal on topless gliders. Now, there's a comparison for you, which we haven't had before. The results, of course, are published in PDF format which is why you don't see
any of them here.
