Hombres Pajaro Colombia 2015 at Roldanillo from January 24th thru
the 31st. I am glad to announce that we will be holding the competition again
next year for the 6th year running and already have a large number of
international pilots assuring us they will attend. Last year we had a great meet
with pilots like Pedro Garcia from Spain (First place), Daniel Velez from
Colombia (Second place), Zac Majors (Third place) from the USA, Dustin Martin,
Raul Guerra, Wolfi Seiss from Austria amongst many others. Pilots came from
Mexico, USA, Guatemala, Ecuador, Venezuela, Spain, Austria and Colombia.
On Facebook there is some interesting information, pictures and videos at
Hombres Pajaro Colombia. We had prize money for the first three Open Class
pilots, US$5,000 for 1st, US$2,000 for 2nd and US$1,000 for 3rd. I am working on
getting this same amount for this year as well. We will also have our Sport
Class at this comp and hope to have some prize money for them as well. I
will come back with this info further on.
This will be a CAT 2 FAI event. This should be taken care of before the end of
next week.
This event is a great venue for those pilots that want to train for the upcoming
worlds in Valle del Bravo. We are confident that the weather will be great, as
the El Nino is being expected in Colombia for the end of this year and this
translates into great flying weather with high cloud bases which will allow for
tasks of over 100 kms every day of the competition.
We look forward to new pilots at this competition so you can experience the
great flying that we have in Roldanillo. As many of you may be aware we have had
two PWC Events here (one the super final) and we will be holding the Paragliding
Worlds here this January as well (two weeks before our comp).
