It looks like the US team needed to sign up by October 1st, or
maybe the 6th.

Here is what the local rules state: NACs must pre-register their pilots on the
organizer´s Website: http://www.faihgworldmex.com before October 1, 2014.

But they got a notice from the USHPA on the seventh (thanks to a heads up from
Jamie Shelden) that only two of them had registered. Now it looks like Bruce,
Robin, Mike, Krryzstof, and Zac are registered (five out of a possible six).

Technically the time to register had passed. Wonder if that means anything.

Looks like the pilots need to get their $640 entry fee in right away (it's as
expensive as an aerotow competition without the towing). There is no money for
them yet from the Free Flight Foundation (no one has asked the foundation yet
for the money, apparently). And they need to get the money to the USHPA which
has to get it to Mexico by the 15th to secure their spots.

Looks like there may be additional rounds to choose more pilots to go to the
Worlds.

The US pilots are named, but most other countries have not named their pilots
yet.
