From what I can gather having watched this excellent short film: During March,
2008, Helen Ross-Lee, a former hang glider pilot was struck on the head by the
nose of her hang glider and suffered Traumatic Brain Injury. This documentary
short does an excellent job of enlightening those of us who have not had to face
the challenges of reduced function and rehabilitation from TBI.
Several pilots I know have gone through similar experiences and have recovered
to varying degrees. A cyclist I knew who suffered TBI from a collision with an
automobile in 2012, took her own life this past weekend having only partially
recovered her former high level of function. I hope people benefit from becoming
more aware.

funding campaign to finance publication of her book on TBI rehabilitation.
