After the scoring on Tuesday 20 January, it was realised there was
a problem with the FTV calculation in the scoring software. FTV stands for Fixed
Total Validity, and it's a complex formula designed to make discarding tasks in
competition fairer.

Since then the scoring team has been working on fixing it. This involved working
with the software developer, Joerg Ewald, who is in Europe. Joerg and the
scoring team here are now confident that the bug is now fixed.

The result is that the scores are now correct.

The change only affects the cumulative overall scores. Team scores and
individual task scores are not affected.
