We had two really good practice days before the comp and 5 out of
7 good task days. I flew 6 days and averaged about 4 hours per day. Cloudbases
were 7000 to 9000 ft with lots of clouds and plenty of cloud suck.

We had one stopped task at 4pm but plenty were well on the way and some in goal.

There was an alarming number of accidents, two light wind launch fails, a mid
air at 7000’ and a tree landing all in the first couple of days. After that the
vigilance went up.

The Newcastle Club did a great job of running the comp and the Royal Hotel were
wonderful hosts.
