Once you click that link. Scroll down to any task and click replay (2D or better
3d Google Earth)
You will get this screen:
On the top bar you will see - TITLE / LEADERBOARD / PLAYER / TASK.
- you can click on any of these on the top bar to make them visible or not on
the screen.
LEADERBOARD - you can look at all Pilots, or select only the ones you are
interested in.
- Once you have selected the pilots, you can click on Top Bar and turn off the
LEADERBOARD view.
TITLE - can pretty much turn off right away
TASK - shows you the Details of the task. Name of Waypoints, radius (the size of
the cylinder around the waypoint - you only have to enter the cylinder to
continue to next waypoint), Leg Distance and Cumulative distance.
- can pretty much turn off right away
PLAYER - leave this on most of the time
- this is where you can fast forward or go back to any part of the race
- you can REPLAY the race at 10 times speed.
LIVE TRACKING is obviously live so you cant fast forward or play fast.
Then you can ZOOM In and Out, Pan and Tilt around as you would with any Google
Map.
NOTES OF INTEREST
- Launch Window - Is usually around 2 hours. Pilots are given a launch order in
which they get organized to launch (this allows for a efficient process to get
70 pilots in the air in a timely manner)
- Pilots will thermal above the Start Cylinder for 15-60 minutes waiting for the
Start Time of the Race
- So you will see A BUNCH of pilots circling together for a while before the
race starts
- Start Times - Each Pilots time starts at the Start Time. Ideally exit the
Start Cylinder at exactly the Start time (but not before).
