Eric Reed was injured on Monday, September 21st at the Paragliding
Nationals in the Owens Valley. He is now in the ICU at Renown Hospital in Reno.

The good: Badger is himself - fully functioning neurologically. No internal
damage, spinal damage or neurological damage. He is breathing on his own. He is
getting excellent care and in good spirits. His surgeon has told us long term
recovery prognosis is very good.

The bad: He has sustained breaks in both his femurs, pelvis, back and right
ankle and jaw. It is expected that over the next 7 or 8 days he will be in and
out of surgery daily.

Luckily, he has good health insurance. The money raised will be used to help his
support team to stay by his side and help him. For example, they are looking in
to getting a VRBO rental in Reno for the duration of his time there. Also, they
are getting him a tablet to help him to communicate. He will probably need a
hospital bed once he gets home. And other unknown expenses.
