Monitoring your heart rate while flying
http://sashaz.com/?p=2744
So one would have to ask four questions. What could be the reasons for us as pilots to experience the bad form of acute
stress?
How to notice and become aware of this nasty condition?
What are the stress management techniques to use to overcome these instant or
sometimes quite a long lasting anxiety?
Finally, how to minimize their amount in the future flights?
And here is an example when while still being low and searching for the lift I
am becoming aware of the high heart rate and purposely decrease it from 170 to
130. Just imagine this unnecessarily wear-out of the organism produced by
illusory stress and fear of bombing. And on the other hand how effectively this
roller-coaster can be smoothed by paying enough attention. It does not only save
the health but also inevitably and instantly improves the flight itself. Ideally
this spike also doesnt go as high as in the following picture.
