The USHPA competition committee acting on a suggestion from Zac
Majors has sanctioned two six days competitions in May. The Quest Air Open
National Championship will take place from May 8th to 13th and the Flytec
Americus Cup will start three days later giving pilots a chance to rest up
before heading up to Americus where the meet will start on Monday the 16th and
goes through the 21st.

Zac felt that given the fact that our competitions are often seven days of
flying with no rest days and that this was tiring pilots out and we needed to
shorten the meets a bit. Of course, the weather is always variable so we'll see
how this works out. With two six day comps in a row there should still be plenty
of opportunities from competition flying. Also we have many options for flying
in advance and in between the two comps.
