Back to a seven day meet
http://ozreport.com/2016QuestAirOpen.php
Given further discussion we have gone back to a full seven day competition for
the Quest Air Open starting on May 7th. There are two competitions in a row. So
there is the chance for pilots to get tired. Here are my current thoughts on how
to run the Quest Air Open:
1) If a 68 year old competition pilot can fly seven days in a row,
why is anyone else complaining? 2) Six flying days out of the seven days (unless see proviso below). 3) If we dont fly one day, that is the rest day. 4) If a 50 km task is called, that is a rest day. 5) If the lead pilot on a day where the task is stopped has flown less than 50
km that is a rest day. 6) If we have flown six days in a row the last day is a rest day unless a
majority of the pilots who flew on the previous day vote in a secret ballot to
fly on the seventh day.
