Big Foot
These are by far the most comfortable shoes that I have ever
worn: They are essentially like going barefoot. These fit perfectly and there are no
areas in the shoes which cause any pain in my feet. They separate my toes, which
makes for comfortable long rides on my bike with comfort pedals. They are found on Amazon
here. Be forewarned that I purchased a number of other pairs of Vibram Five
Finger shoes that did not work out. Mine are size 43 for my 10.5" feet and they
only have 40 and 44 at Amazon. Reviews at Amazon indicated that these
particular shoes were appropriate for people like me with wide feet. The latest version is found
here. Earlier reports: http://ozreport.com/18.197#2 http://ozreport.com/18.201#0 Cons: It takes longer to put them on. It takes a while to learn how to put them
on (I have toed socks from Injinji). Step in a shallow puddle and you'll get wet
feet. Mesquite thorns will go right through the thin soles. They haven't solved
my foot comfort problem in my Covert harness, so I still need to go barefoot in
that. My most comfortable bike shoes ever: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftr/shoes/recreational-fitness-shoes/cadet#features
These shoes is not built as a EE width shoe, but a 11.5 US (10.5 UK) shoes fits
me fine and other than a tiny bit of occasional pain on my right pinky, it is
pain free. I started with clipless bike shoes back when they were only available in teeny
tiny European (Italian) sizes. My feet would go to sleep. I've had two pairs of
Lake EE width shoes, but these are by far the most comfortable. Comfortable shoes for rough ground: http://www.keenfootwear.com/product/shoes/men/arroyo-ii
I wear a size 10 US. I wear this shoe when working out in the woods. I like
shoes with wide toe boxes, because if you look at your feet you'll notice that
your toes are wider than your heels. Apparently the Italians aren't aware of
this.
