2016 Quest Air Open, part 2?

Jamie Shelden has canceled the 2016 Americus Cup. We planed the
2016 Quest Air Open National Championships in coordination with Jamie so that
pilots who wanted to attended two competitions (especially those pilots from
overseas) could do so. Belinda and I would still like to provide competition
opportunities to all pilots so we have thought about some options to make up for
the loss of the Americus Cup. We want you to tell us what you would like.

Option 1) Leave the 2016 Quest Air Open as it is.

Saturday, May 7th through Friday, May 13th, Practice days: any time before the
start of the competition.

Option 2) Extend the 2016 Quest Air Open to a ten day competition.

Saturday, May 7th through Monday, May 16th, Practice days: any time before the
start of the competition.

Aerotow cost which are $300 will have to be increased to cover the additional
three days. No increase in the registration fee.

Option 3) Extend the 2016 Quest Air Open to a eleven day competition and score
it as two separate five day parts, Part 1 and Part 2 with a rest day in between.
With two separate winners and two separate scoring reports to the USHPA and
CIVL.

Saturday, May 7th through Tuesday, May 17th, Practice days: any time before the
start of the competition.

Aerotow cost which are $300 will have to be increased to cover the additional
three days. No increase in the registration fee.

Option 4) Run the 2016 Quest Air Open as two separate seven day competitions,
Part 1 and Part 2. The second competition takes over the dates of the 2016
Americus Cup, May 15th through 21st.

Aerotow costs increased for pilots flying both competitions.

Pilots signing up for both competitions would only have to pay an additional
$150 registration fee for the second competition (this would rise as per our
existing payment schedule). Pilots signing up for one competition would pay $300
(as per the schedule – see the link above).

We have to get approval for the last three options from the USHPA and from the
aerotow operation. We have to coordinate with the USHPA, CIVL, and Airtribune.

Please respond to belinda AT davisstraub.com very quickly to help us figure out
what you want and what we should do.
