The Cloudbase Foundation has partnered with the
James
Dean Byrd Foundation for six years to support the Escuela Bilingue Los
Algarrobos in Canoa, Ecuador, building a classroom and providing teacher
support.

On April 16, 2016, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the region. The magnitude
of the destruction is unknown at this point. The Cloudbase Foundation is working
with local pilot and instructor Kevin Lee, who has assembled a group of
Ecuadorian pilots who are responding with the military on the ground. The group
is currently moving in to set up wash stations and establish supply lines for
providing water, food, and shelter, while assessing needs.
