Keith Essex flew an OLC distance of 2,247.10 km today at a smoking
speed of 254.8 km/h in his new JS1C 18m/21m jet sustainer. This may be the
fastest OLC speed ever and has Keith currently in 3rd place for the 2016 OLC
World Championship. The flight was from Minden, Nevada and he remained below
18,000 ft in wave conditions. Keith will be flying along with four other JS1
pilots in the upcoming US Open Class Nationals in Nephi, Utah.
