Yesterday, Bruce and I flew a 49-mile (41.6-mile optimized)
(79/67km) task based on the conditions and usable racing hours left in the day.
I tell the story in my video editing, graphics and narration that I did in one
take (ad lib). https://youtu.be/J1U9A71mrnA
I hope to get more pilots interested in flying tasks at Crestline. There is a
huge variety of possible course layouts.
The SoCal XC League https://www.socalxcleague.com/ run by Aaron Colby Price has done a fantastic
job of developing the cross country skills of paraglider pilots.
I have flown a couple of tasks with the league over the past few years on
different hang gliders and really enjoyed it.
I don't intend to set up a formal hang glider league. The informally run tasks
we have been doing are fun and seem to be helping my skills.
My landings always need work and we have the Big O Loop for that.
