Roll cloud
Have you ever seen anything like this in central west Queensland?
We're pretty sure these Morning Glory clouds are usually only spotted in the
Gulf! Thanks to Danielle Butler from Athol station at Blackall for sending
through this incredible shot (taken by her husband Michael).

Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Gordon Banks said roll clouds
were generally only seen in the Gulf of Carpentaria. "Inland they'd be associated
with a change of air mass, a wave coming through as it were, and in this case a
gravity wave," he said.
"Something that is a little bit heavier than the surrounding air pushing into
south-west Queensland from the south-east. If there's enough moisture in the
turbulence that's caused by this wave coming through then it will generate a
line of cloud."
