Each year the pilots who fly at the Big Spring Nationals
contribute to the Rainbow Room which provides tiny beds, car seats, school
supplies, and clothes to foster children and children under the care of Child
Services. This year we are buying car seats which are required to take children,
even from the hospital after their birth. Very small car seats.

Pilots were extremely generous this year, even though we had only nineteen
pilots. With very substantial contributions from Dave Proctor, Dave Hayner, Tom
McGowan, Bruce Barmakian, and Pat Halfill, and other very generous pilots, as
well as from all the pilots and some town folks, we were able to raise $2,100.

The Cloudbase Foundation was also very supportive, matching our first $1,000 so
that we were able to give $3,100 to the Rainbow Room.
