What does a 62 year old do on summer vacation? Colorado Fly Week
of course! I dragged my 1979 Fledge 2A down there for some high altitude flying. At around 10,000 feet altitude, it's like trying to launch a semi truck from a
cliff and expecting it to fly. The glider is naturally tail heavy and requires a
good launch crew for assist. In this launch, I almost blew it as my gloves were
not as grippy as my bare hands, and my right arm got a bit tangled in one of the
straps. Time to get a new harness. Thanks to the CFW volunteers and fellow pilots at launch, I got off safely. Made
one 360 of launch and valley in this clip.
