Colombia in January.

We are announcing the Hombres Pajaro Colombia 2017 meet in Colombia, for the
21st till the 28th of January 2017.

It will be held at the same launch we used last year “Piedechinche” which is in
the same valley as the now famous Roldanillo site, only about 80 kilometers
south of Roldanillo. This launch is great as we have plenty of room for gliders,
it is 1,180 meters above the valley and the wind blows in all day long (as
opposed to Roldanillo which has a afternoon tail wind which sometimes doesn't
allow us to fly although the day may be classic).

It is important to mention that we have the most spectacular conditions to fly
and compete in hang gliders here in the Cauca Valley, the conditions are always
good, no problems with strong winds or strong turbulence, we have a huge valley
full of large and easy landing areas.

We normally have tasks in the 100 km average length for the Open class and 40/50
kms for the Sport class.

We will be using the Airtribune services for the comp which I also hope to have
organized by the end of this week.

We have a great hotel where we all stayed last year, that has a big pool, good
restaurant and is only about 25 minutes from launch.

Most of the tasks will end up at a goal, that is a huge (really huge) field only
800 meters from the hotel.

The hotel has air-conditioned rooms, hot water cable TV with flat screen TV's in
each room and the cost is only approx US$20 a night per person, which includes a
huge breakfast. You can easily have a good lunch and dinner for US$10 a day.

I will be taking care of the FAI certification this week, announcing that we
will have both Open and Sport class in the event. We are counting on a important
International participation this year (as has been in the seven previous years)
with pilots Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Ecuador, USA, Japan, Italy, whom have
already confirmed they are coming.
