A glider pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at
Quairading Airport today after his aircraft hit a wedge-tailed eagle.

“The bird came in through the canopy and landed on his lap,” he said. “He was
quick enough to throw the bird outside before he was ripped to pieces.”
