The 50th anniversary of BillÂ’s first flight
Vicki Cairns writes:
December 1966 was when Bill had his first taste of flying. He was
water skiing on the Hawkesbury river when John Dickenson offered him a ride in
his kite.
From that moment he was hooked and so began a lifetime affair of kite flying
for Bill and the Moyes family which continues to this day.
At 84 years old Bill is still continuing to work most days and often phones me
on Sundays to ask why no one is answering the phone at the factory!
We are compiling a tribute video to celebrate this momentous occasion and will
present it on the Presentation evening of the Forbes Flatlands Competition on
Friday 6th January, 2017 We are still accepting photos, tributes, videos to add
to our presentation so if you would like to contribute please send to Tony
Ritter at 2036pictures@gmail.com
