We were thrilled when this plane landed at the boat ramp as we
were landing our canoes and kayaks. Tragically, he was killed less than two
hours later when his plane hit the electric wires over the river just a few
hundred yards down river.

We spoke at length with the pilot who was airplane camping which he said he did
a lot. He was meeting a friend who was paddle boarding down the river towing an
inflatable kayak with camping gear and his dog. His friend arrived and a short
time later we heard the plane near by and then the electricity in the park went
out. We were so saddened by this sudden loss of life.
