The 'leading cone' projected in front on the course line of each pilot (whatever
that means) is a wide conical zone projecting forwards several km, and whenever
that zone has no other pilots in it, you clock up leading points. Whenever your
leading zone is populated you get no leading points.

The idea it to try to break the mega paragliding gaggle, forcing people to
spread out on the glide and to reward those who truly fly their own path, even
if at times they do not have the greatest progress.

This would apply to half the leading bonus the rest remaining as 'progress
bonus' but that proportion can be tuned, as can the angle of the cone, and its
projecting distance. I think the leading cone, which is actually under the
control of the pilot who is not leading, might be better described as the
"pimping trumpet." We will see if the coding is successful
