My Skysight review
It is twice the cost of XCSkies.
I really use DrJack very little as I have XCSkies, because of the features that
I like, so basing your program on DrJack is a step back for me.
I want wind speeds at set altitudes. Not just the average wind speed, top of
lift and surface wind speeds.
I want wind speeds shown as XCSkies does, with barbs and values. I never use
colors for wind speed.
I want the interactive Tskew (neither of them use this). Skysight has it in
Celsius.
I don't get the combination of Thermal Strength and B/S ratio. I rarely use B/S
ratio.
What is depth of thermals?
Why is there cu depth when there are no cu's? What is cu's depth?
I do like the three levels of cloud cover if that really works.
The surface temperatures appeared to be wrong with a scale that went to 48
despite the fact that it said (F).
Is this GFS data only? Wouldn't it be nice if we had access to the European
model? We don't use GFS in XCSkies, just NAM and RAP. And yes NAM is too hot -
predicts much greater lift than actually occurs.
What are the black spots in the thermal strength graphics?
No choice for winds at mph.
The ability to do convergence predictions looks interesting.
