Julie Spiegler at the USHPA writes:

In paragliding there is no separate women's competition. They do
the 6+1 or 6+2 and declare the women's champ from the same comp, just as we do
in comps at lower levels.

I never actually understood why there was a separate Women's World Championship
event for hang gliding.
