I did really well up until TP 3 at Warra where I slowed down. Caught up under
the lead gaggle at the last turnpoint, but it wasn't the ticket to stay with
them to goal.
Left for goal 25k away at 8 grand ASL in a cross wind under a beautiful cloud. I
was trying to catch up to the boys ahead but couldn't. Eventually I had to stop
2km away from goal cylinder to get up because I wasn't going to make it. I put
on the conservative brakes (probably too conservative) to ensure I'd make it.
