With the winds blowing 29 kph from the SSE; today's task was set
for Cut Knife, Sk., 166 km away, just West of North Battleford. The task was up
on Airtribune at
https://airtribune.com/canadian/blog__day_5. No specific launch window was
set, so pilots could leave anytime.
Only two pilots made goal: Doug Keller and Ross Hunter. Unfortunately, Dale
Regehr sunk out early on course. Felix Cantesanu did come very close to goal,
but couldn't find enough lift to top out before his final glide. Most pilots had
great flights and one kingposted glider even made it 132 km in what were
sometimes difficult conditions. Hats off to Larry Shumlich for a great flight.
