I'm helping to facilitate a transition at the FFF. I've been
working with Doug Sharp, Ross Wisdom, Donnita Hall and the rest of the FFF crew
to develop infrastructure that increases awareness of the Foundation and
supports fundraising too. We're also working closely with USHPA member, and FFF volunteer, Rudder Pearce,
H2, CPA. Rudder lives in Jupiter, FL. He did some training at Wallaby and
obtained his H2 at Quest. Rudder is dedicated, reliable, and really excited
about flying. His skills are essential for what we're working on now. So initially, my role is heavily administrative. Eventually, we expect to focus
more on fundraising including incorporating the FFF into estate planning etc. I'm participating in a process that will position the Foundation to increase
funding and support for initiatives that protect and evolve free flight. I'm
excited about interacting with the pilot community again. One of the most gratifying aspects of the process so far, is working with
Donnita Hall. Her commitment to the pilot community is infectious. Her desire to
"do her part" to "give back to the sport" serves her well. Concern for the pilot
community drives her to dedicate countless hours to the FFF. She's involved in
every aspect of the Foundation's mission and she does it really well. We scratch
our heads, poke fun, and share laughs -- all signs of a great collaboration.
