Today was a very turbulent day for the final task of the world
championship. This video shows the leaders towing up, most launching downwind
and then flying through significant trash air. Steve Cox decided to abandon the
task after 160km because he was forced to thermal on the lee side of the ridge
during a grueling upwind leg and the turbulence was severe.
