There are still slots available in the GSSK at Quest next March.
If you are on the fence about it, you can register and pay later. I highly
recommend this meet for any level of pilot. Here are a few of the benefits of
flying in this meet.
1. All glider types from Falcon to ATOS are welcome.
2. The scoring is handicapped based on the glider flown (ie. +45% for a Falcon)
to make it fair for everyone.
3. All pilot skill levels are allowed.
4. Pilots are put into small teams based on glider performance type. Each group
is assigned a mentor who then pre-briefs with the pilots on the days task. All
questions are answered, from weather, strategies, instruments, equipment, flying
techniques, gliders etc. All questions are welcome.
5. Mentors are experienced pilots including world record holders, national
champions, competition pilots, regional champions and all around skilled XC
pilots. No egos in this group as they are selected based on their high energy
and desire to share and help the pilots.
6. Daily discussions are held with the groups and/or all pilots on topics such
as improving fly skills, peak performance flying, analyzing the weather, how to
use your instrument, landing techniques and how to fly a task. We are asking the
pilots what other topics they would like to hear about.
7. Elektra Tow landing clinics will be available each morning based on pilot
request.
8. Daily debriefings will be conducted following the days flying.
9. Camping is available on site. This is a low stress environment geared toward
having fun while learning. Check out the Airtribune website for more
information, sign up and get a head start on your flying season.
