He had flown the traditional route down the power lines just west
of Interstate 5 but by the time he got to Santa Nella the cloud streets had
pushed out into the valley in the southwest flow. He flew out over Los Banos
around the strong push coming over Pacheco Pass with 9000' of altitude in the
tank. He came back to I5 just south of Los Banos Reservoir hoping to continue
down it. But all the clouds had at this point pushed out into the valley so he
followed. He landed twenty one miles southwest of Fresno between Five Points and
Lanare for 147.73 miles in 4.5 hrs.

As we tied his wing on the rack we spotted a paraglider coming down within two
tenths of a mile of us. It was Josh Cohn who had been in the air for 6.5 hrs but
flew a somewhat different route than Kevin. We drove over and congratulated him
on his flight. The flight path in the Google Earth picture is Josh's with
straight line distance to Kevin's touchdown.
