Had to land twice high and relaunch to continue progress after our
initial flight from turn point 1 (after our morning 26k run with our kits). On
my second ridge top landing (which was a bit in a rotor) I had the bottom drop
out and landed pretty hard. Was able to hike and re-launch but it feels like
I’ve badly bruised my left heel. I’m hiking on it now but, we’ll see how she
feels in the morning. Looks like the guys in front of me utilized some really
interesting flying conditions and got really far.
