Refugio on Monday
Gregg Ludwig writes:
Mick launched first, about 9:35, and is once again headed due
north. Ty and Nate are following. Looks to be a very nice day with clear air
with small cumulus clouds everywhere.
The screen shot above is from today at 2 PM Central Daylight Time. We are using
the Android App Life360 to follow pilots's GPS coordinates broadcasted from
their phones.
Larry launched 4th and landed about 20 miles out. Greg launched 5th for about
30mi. Cloud base was only about 2000 until 10:30.
Ty is flying Jonnys Geko. Jonny is taking a dual soaring flight with a glider
instructor. Robin chose not to fly today. Today wraps up week one and flight ops
for week two start Saturday after some rain in the forecast Wednesday, Thursday,
and Friday.
Mick, Ty, Nate, and Rich are all on course.
At 3 PM Mick is out over 200 kilometers, southeast of Austin just
west of Bastrop. https://airtribune.com/play/3463/2d Looks like Mick flew 326 kilometers (202 miles) to land at a little before 6:30
PM CDT northeast of Temple near Interstate 35, so an easy retrieve.
