News from Rooke Airfield, Refugio, Texas today informs us that the
field is closed to hang gliding for awhile after strong storms and flooding rain
over the last few days. There is standing water everywhere and even the porta
potties got blown off the ramp and out into the grass. Any ideas for a return to
Refugio will be maybe sometime in August. I’ll be making a trip there July 16 to
haul my trike back to the home hangar in preparation for the 2018 Big Spring
Nationals.
