Dale Regehr flew 422 kilometers in just over five hours on a Moyes
RS3.5. That's an average speed of over 80 km/h. This is the longest hang glider
flight ever made in Canada, slightly edging the 395 km flight made by Ross
Hunter in June last year, following a nearly identical route. Like most flights
in Saskatchewan, this was from a truck tow.
He landed early, around 6 PM, and sunset is not until 9 PM at this time of year.
The mind wonders what might've been the distance had he stayed in the air for
another hour or two.
